From Bandung with Love

June 2019, Jakarta's fourth week. I vividly recall my first job interview in this vibrant city. Never had I imagined I'd end up working here, but fate had other plans. A friend casually mentioned it was a JICA project, a name I'd long admired. This marked my first collaboration with a top-notch consultant team. That's when I met Hashi-san - a figure of authority, deeply engrossed in his work. Our first encounter left a lasting impression. I hoped to join his team, and thankfully, Alhamdulillah.. I was accepted. With a handshake sealing the deal, I returned to Bandung to prepare for my new role.

Time flew by, and before I knew it, five incredible years had passed. Memories of our time together are etched in my mind like a masterpiece. I've always strived to uphold his trust, ensuring team members' safety and assisting them in Indonesia. Hashi-san is more than a boss - he's a father figure, wise, firm, and kind. His words are timely, and we've shared laughter that lightened the mood.

From Aceh to Kalimantan, Sulawesi to Lampung, our journeys together have been unforgettable. He's my mentor, my idol, who introduced me to a new field beyond my educational background. His motivational phrase still resonates: "Tomorrow is far away, but can you finish this before the day ends?"

I rose to the challenge, completing tasks like the South Sumatra Palm Oil Data Encoding project, even during a site visit in Karawang.

Hashi-san's enthusiasm is infectious, and his humor, unforgettable. Who would've thought he'd joke about Indonesian ghosts not understanding him, making them harmless?
Our adventures are documented on my Instagram and Facebook, a testament to the growth and lessons I've gained.
Fall seven times, stand up eight - Nana Korobi Ya Oki!

Stay healthy, Hashi-san, and strong.
We eagerly await your return to Indonesia, especially Bandung. I'm deeply sorry I couldn't be by your side during your visit.
We all miss you and send our warmest regards.
I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that you have provided.
Fighting!

Warm regards from Bandung,
Tyas
